Found ALL of this from one seller on Craigslist one late night. They had $450 on the lot, I offered $250. She accepted. The next day I got off work and drove 2 hours to Galatin, Tennessee to pick them up. When I got there, they told me that someone had offered $500 if they would let them come pick them up right then. They held the lot for me and allowed me to take it all home for $250. The couple were very nice and standup people, and I hope they are doing well. Apparently the figures belonged to her father and he had left them to her. She just wanted them gone. Needless to say, I came out ahead on this lot by a mile. I couldn’t part with the 18″ Eric Draven and the two Hellraiser figures, I still have them to this day.
The find of the day was the pictured HK MP5 airsoft kit. I paid $2 for the gun and all the accessories. Sold for roughly $70. The outdoor timers were also bought for $2 and sold for $60. Both finds in the same yardsale. The costumes were the goldmine this day. I bought around 30 costumes at $6 each from Bob’s Bargains. I completely bought out their Star Wars section, and did quite well selling them for $30-40 each.
HUGE HUGE score on this day. So I pull up to this old couple sitting outside their garage with tables set up. As I approach, I see boxes. ALWAYS an attention getter. Boxes mean money. I quickly realize that this old couple is getting rid of all of their Halloween decorations… like all of them. The husband must have told his wife to get rid of all that Halloween crap because everything was on the table. So I begin researching what is up with these Spooky Town houses and quickly realize two things: 1) they don’t make these anymore and 2) they are valuable. I ask the wife what she wants for them. $15 for the small ones $30 for the big ones. I ended up getting the entire Halloween lot for $60. The find of the day was “The Wheel of Horror” ferriswheel. It alone sold for $300 + shipping. Still to this day it is the best find I’ve had.
